I don't have access to how many miles it has, like so many things, it was bought for a project that never panned out and now just need to quit paying storage on it.

I find 318 engine colors of that year interesting.... and have yet to figure out the reasoning by ma-mopar.... the original 318 in my 69 Wanna-Bee project was/is red.... while the 318 in my 69 Fury was/is blue.....

If I was local I'd be there with my truck and take it home for Jake's 65.....

Yeah, I'm about 4 hrs from St Louis, if it helps at all, I go to the Peoria area fairly frequent...cuts about 1 1/2 hrs off the trip.

$100 how can you go wrong? Make an offer guys, I need to free up some space.

Man that's tempting, especially since you go to Peoria every so often. That'd cut my drive in half. When are you going that way again?

Oh ya, how long has it been setting and has it been stored inside all that time?

I usually make the trip every other weekend, I'm sure we can work something out. My brother bought the engine from the guy that pulled it from the car, it sat inside in his storage unit for two or three years. To my knowledge it hasn't seen the weather. I will talk to my brother this weekend and try to get more details.

Sounds good. I'll await your response.

Talked with my brother and heres the story. A friend of his had bought the car to salvage some body parts off of. My brother was there when they set in a battery and fired it up, said it started and idled well, no crazy smoking or anything. He agreed to buy the engine at that point...got it pulled and sat in his storage unit for 1 1/2 to 2 years, (not 2 or 3 years like I thought). I can't say what the history of the car was before all this, and I guess all I can guarantee right now is that it's not locked up. My brother was satisfied enough that he was going to set it in and use it, then his plans changed. Again, for this price, kinda tough to go wrong.
I am looking for a B block aluminum 4 barrel intake...may consider a trade.

Sounds good. I'm just looking for a good starting core that's not all rusted up or completely roached so it sounds like it fits the bill. Don't have an intake or I'd be up for a swap.

When are you going to Peoria again?

IM IN MADISON yah i could use that while they build my 429 stroker does it have a starter on it you can fire it up ?? love to meet you in rockford but been to the midget and sprint races in peoria a couple tim,es write me i got time u have something to pick it up with or can we meet half way
HEY SIX PACK WILL YOU LET ME GIVE THIS GUY MY PHONE # TO GET THIS WORKED OUT would appriciate it

Fishy, the next chance for me at Peoria will be Friday the 14th or Sunday the 15th.
Meanwhile, if someone shows up with cash...they win. Certainly not looking to upset anyone, but the goal is to sell this thing and it's priced accordingly. (It's listed on B bodys and Craigslist as well).

Winston, Heres the thing, If I was going to meet someone halfway, Fishy would have first dibbs. He and I have been checking out the possibilities of doing that on this thread, but a deal has not been agreed upon yet. Like I said in the last post, someone shows up with cash, I'll sell it. I don't remember if it has the starter on it or not, but it's in my storage unit so starting it on the ground isn't appropriate.

Ok. I can make it up the 14th but not the 15th so if you don't sell it locally before that and can make it on the 14th consider it sold to me. Oh yeah, if this does work for us to meet the 14th how would we transfer it from your truck to mine? I've had 2 back surgeries in the last year so I can't do much heavy lifting. About 100 lbs. is it for me. Thanks for giving me 1st dibbs and I understand that if you get the chance to sell it locally you gotta go that route.

Thanks for understanding my situation. If its not gone by then it is yours. I'll let you know either way as time gets closer so you aren't left out of the loop. I can bring my cherry picker if need be to make the transfer. By the way, I had a typo earlier...I'll make the trip on Friday the 14th and Sunday the 16th, if that matters.

Thanks man. Friday works for me too. Come to think of it a buddy of mine mentioned he has a fold up cherry picker I can see about borrowing so you don't have to bring yours.
