idler arm help?

cut it with a sawzall. Install a new grade 8 bolt with the head on the bottom. problem solved.

also, its a 9/16 fine thread bolt i think...you might have to get that bolt at the autoparts store...seems like moog sells a new idler arm with this bolt...

I would put it in the correct direction. Can't you just loosen the passenger side motor mount, place a jack in a good spot and jack up one side of the motor? The only thing I can think of that would give a problem would be if you have a fan shroud. The reason it has a nut on the bottom is so if the nut falls off the bolt can't fall out. Red Lock-Tite would be a possible answer if you had to install it upside own.
