Shafers model car thread

Way to go there buddy. You get alot more time at the model bench than I sure do. I haven't finished one sense my Gremlin. This spring. Another one
in line for pics. Went all through my pics and can't find one of it.

This car was donated to the museum from the 1992 fan appreciation tour after petty made a few hot laps around indy in 1993,remember the car # was 44 that year so this was the only time 43 was run that year. this was in anticipation of the inaugual brickyard 400 ran in 1994.The actual real last ride is housed at the petty racing museum in Randleman nc.It doesnot have a front clip because it went out in a blaze of glory. The front was cut off in order for the king to complete his final lap in the1992 hooters 500 at alanta. below is a pix of the crash and of the final car in the museum .

well I have to say I have seen some very nice cars here...I dont build street machines...stock car...drag cars...all I build is factory stock...this is just one...it started out as a 1970 T/A Challenger and redid it to a R/T Challenger...there are soo many homade parts...hand casted parts...brass machined pentastar on the right fender...the exhaust was completly redone and the pipe is sodier,trunk opens...glove box opens...antenna goes up and down...engine is complete with all detail...ECT ...ETC...

any of you guys have an indy car model cheap, i have never built one of those (I am thinking of doing a window world car)
