So I've finally bought a car that makes me smile !

A little history my father had a 1970 Dodge Coronet 500 - bucket and console car - I remember being a little fella and him letting me drive on the dirt roads up North and also sitting in his car alone pretending I was driving - Fwd to this month and after an extensive search find a cool car I stumble accross a 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger ( orig 318 now 340 ) buckets and console car with added go wing and hood scoops. I took it for a test drive with an ex Army buddy of mine and he said he hasnt seen me smile like that for years --needless to say i bought it and fell in love ! I've already ordered a new interior kit from Pro Fit Interiors as well as a front disc conversion. I took my dad for a spin in the car and said " Hey dad hold on " and let er rip down the highway , chirping gears. My dad had a blast but said next time to give him more warning as he didnt want to have a jammer LOL ! I'm gonna slowly tweak this car to a real beauty as right now she's about a 6 out of 10. Anyways great to be here
Rob

Hey, Rob, welcome to the show. Did you buy that from a guy in Langley? I may have looked at that car on the way to finding mine.

Welcome from Ontario Rob! Nice looking dart, and great story. Pro-fit interiors?? Never heard of them...Legendary Autos are top notch interior suppliers if you are interested.

Welcome to an amazing web site. I feel the same about smiling when I drive my dart that's why the wife got me the air freshener for the rear view mirror, she said it reminds her of me driving.

Nothing really, I was just looking for something a little more original with as little body work needed as possible. Plus, it was boxed in when I went to look at it so I couldn't drive it. Good starting point though, decent car. I had offered him 10K as well, which they were going to take, so.... you're welcome.:p

Another welcome from Vancouver Island from another former '71 Swinger Special 340 owner. Making you happy is what it's all about! ENJOY!!
