I think if he is any kind of "man" he will see what you are doing. Get him over to have a look and show him the "extras" that will make it right. Remember, it was a quote, but sometimes those change as circumstances arise. The bodywork is worth more than that, and the engine should be added on top. Tough one, good luck.
