Be honest. Communicate. Do the best work you can under the circumstances. Keep your customer fully informed. Be true to yourself. Restoration work is a heck of a lot different than general auto repair and you know it and your customer should know that, also. I'm sure you can work it out with the guy. You may not make what you should on the job at this point, but you'll be able to look at yourself in the mirror.

I would rather lose a little money and keep the quality of my work than do inferior work to make a buck.
