P5156139 aluminum crate hemi

Hell if your going to spend thast much get the real Hemi.

I am as big a fan of a the GEN II hemi as the next guy, and if I were building a drag car, and if I had the cash it would be on my dream motor. Nothing looks as bad A$$ as a Gen II hemi.

All that being said, if I were building a pro-touring, autocross, or street cruiser I think it's really hard to beat the Gen III Hemi. First off power, stock block Gen III Hemis are putting out well over 1000 Hp. That sounds like real hemi numbers to me. Second durability, a 400-500 HP Gen III hemi is easily a 100,000 Mile motor. Third weight reduction, a Gen III Hemi weighs a MINIMUM of 200 LBS less on front end. Throw in an aluminum block and your probably going to knock another 100 LBS off the front end.

Want your car to corner? Run a Gen III Hemi.
