A-body 4spd + bellhousing + hurst shifter

Wow; I just saw this thread.You certainly gave him a great deal.He definately gave you the shaft-What a cheap bastard.

yeah, I met him with my work ride a little bit before my shift started, so if i told him to piss off(kinda wish i would've) i would be trying to get parts/supplies out of my car around a heavy cast iron tranny for 8hrs. Which seems like kind of a nightmare in a compact car.

Even at $400 bucks its a hell of a deal. You ballpark the going rate of a SB 4spd bellhousing, shift fork, original hurst shifter and the price of tranny alone can't be more than 200 bucks(less than most people pay for OD 833's)

Anyhow, at this point i can only hope that he cracks open the side case and the tranny is eff'd beyond usage and needs a full rebuild.(i never looked inside and just planned to rebuild it for peace of mind)

The guy i met was through CL, but prior to our meeting i stumbled on this screenname and everything from the location, the car he's building, and the B-body 833 woes fit to the guy i met and that's way too much of a coincidence.
