I wanted to get some kind of emblem for the Duster that had 318 Four Barrel on it, I was even going to to try to modify a 383 Four Barrel emblem.. However I did manage to get a hold of MOtorPARts here on FABO. Discussed with him what I wanted so he made a set for me. I'll show you the progression as he sent the pictures to me, then how they look on the car.. (one of these days someone needs to tell me how to put notes between pictures) Anyways got them mounted last night... I Like'm!! Oh Yeah!!!

man those look great !

WTH did you get the chrome for the scoop inlets? thats badass ! i want !

That is pretty cool that a company would take the time to make a one off item like that for a customer. And it looks like a quality piece. It looks good. Can you mention price or are you sworn to secrecy?

How much they cost I'd like some that say 416 4bbl.

Its actually an individual who makes these. And they are made out of aluminum, he fabricates them, polishes, and paints them. His user-name here on FABO is "MOtorPARts". The cost was $50.00 for the pair. Almost cost that much for a single emblem from just about anywhere else.. May be a bit steep for some, but at least if you want to look forward to getting a pair you have a contact. He does put his personal touch to them, and for that I an grateful..

MOtorPARts (Jeff) is a one man company. He and his brother hang out with us at the Nationals where he also sells his emblems (he had maybe 8 or 10 different styles this year. IIFC they were selling for $40 a pair there; might be a little more with shipping. I'd drop him a PM and see what he can do for you.

DAMN!!! those look awesome. I may have to get a hold of him and discuss getting a set of 360 four barrel emblems made.. Very nice!

I thought this thread was gonna be on the emblems... LOL! As 73AbodEE pointed out.. ever so diligently.. Those chrome bands you'all are looking at, might surprise all of you to find out there from the local Auto Zone/Advanced Auto Parts. It's your basic "plastic 1/8" peel and stick trim", plus a small piece of aluminum tape where the meet in the middle at the bottom. It comes in rolls of 18' or 20'. Took about 3 or 4 tries to get it right on the first inlet. You have to make sure its flexible and a warm day. If you rub the outside as you form it around the curve till the plastic gets warm from your finger (friction) it will bend into a nice soft curve. Trying to get the stuff to do 90 deg bend doesn't work very well. Dry fit it as you go, pull the tape off about 3" to 4" at a time. When you meet the two ends (I did it at the center of the bottom of the inlet) make sure you have a very sharp razor blade, overlap and cut both at the same time. Do a rough measurement of what the circumfrance of each of the inlets are if I remember correctly they are approx 25" so I would cut a piece about 27" to 28", then work it.. Make sure the stuff you get has the 3M sticky tape, it seems to work the best.. Oh and another tip (for 73AbodEE) you can use a hand held hairdryer on the corners lightly warm them up after you stick it on and the corners will stay bent.. Just remember it took me several tries so be prepared to waste alot of it.. The real reason I bought the stuff was too outline the rear tail light lenses raised areas. It looked good till I got to the first 90 deg in the lense.. After many tries I gave up and started looking elsewhere I could use it, hence the scoop inlets..
This is why I love this site, so many people have some cool ideas (which I never gave this one a thought about the trim) and all you have to do is ask.. Holler if you need any more direction and good luck..

I wouldn't call that steep at all- I'd call that a helluva deal- especially for something that looks that good:thumleft:

Whoops.. Sorry about that Mods! I posted the Email address.. Guys PM me if you want it.. My bad.. I'm still learning the ropes here, you'd think after 2 years and laughing at others I'd learn.. Thanks 6pk2goDemon for the gentle reminder...
