Theres no need to wax that often even if its a daily driver, Once ever 3 months is plenty. Use a spray detailer between waxing.

I love megs and have every mirror glaze product, what you might like even if its a new paint job is pure polish #7, has no abrasives just a polish, makes it pop even more after waxing. I use ultimate liquid wax and since you seem to wax so often maybe a new product you'd wanna try by meguiars. Ultimate wash and wax spray, works like a dream better than the quick detailers but costs more.

Thanks for the Info. I saw that Ultimate Wash & Wax. Looks like good stuff. I have about 8 coats of Megs on now and it goes on & off so easy it's almost ridiculous.

It is amazing good stuff, and the water sheets off, I like the GC wax. This new synthetic stuff amps up the color when the sun hits it and in the shade looks like water on the paint, I just did my Ducati rosso corsa red and with that stuff, its almost blinding in the light.

x2 on the Dawn blue diluted to wash the car, Sometimes I actually use Murphy oil soap....

This is ok to do once in awhile but dont do it often. The dish soap strips all the wax and dries out the rubber seals and weather stripping.

when you apply wax over more wax you are removing the first layer and replacing it with the second. You really cant put 2 coats of wax on a car. However if its a paint sealant or synthetic wax you can do multiple coats. Read the directions because you need to wait a certain ammount of time to do it. Most are 20-30 minutes to haze, wipe off and wait 20-30 minutes to apply.

Another thing is that wax is a protectant. Its not made to add shine. Thats done by polishing. If your looking for a real deep shine buy a D/A buffer and polish the paint with some Meguiars 205 and a white pad then follow that up with your favorite wax.

Ive got tons of wax at the shop Meguiars Tech wax, Colonite, Chemical Guys butter wax are what we use them most usually depending on the level of the detail and the color of the car.

yes but be careful not to get a bunch of wax around the decal. Black stripes with white wax all around them doesnt look to good.

What is a good wax to use that is easy to get off without so much left over residue? Preferably available at Walmart or local auto parts store.

Great Info! Thanks Adam. I'm pretty happy with my shine. I really want it just to last and look good for years. My Dart is 100% Garage Kept so I just dust it off and do a quick detail every couple of months. If I want to head to the the weekly cruise, I'm always ready to go. LOL She's not a show winner but better than just a DD. Some where in between I guess.

The meg ultimate wax. I've used the nxt and its a really good wax but goes away pretty quickly. The ultimate last longer and goes on just as easy.

Oh and just letting everybody know that the meguiar's headlight restore kit actually works! Just did my DD and damn what a difference when the headlights are on. Plus it a hell of a lot cheaper then replacing my housings.

Wax doesnt lasy any were near as long as what they print on the bottle. Paint Sealants last much longer but still if you get 6 months out of it I would be shocked. Job security for me though, LOL

I make a killing doing headlight restoring at the shop. Some BMWs are $1000 for 1 housing. I get $150 to wet sand, buff and reseal them. It takes about 30 minutes to do a pair.

If I may ask for a Trade Secret...What are you sealing the Headlights with?
Thanks,
Gerry
