I'll tell ya what. I'm on my third Ranger. Even though the last one failed a cam sensor, I'd still buy a Ford pu over a &*&^%@#()*_@+()#$+)&(^*^%@#)E&@+)ing GM of any sort.
It REALLY ticks me off that Ford is discontinuing the Ranger, and Mopar the Dakota series. I think this is flawed thinking brought about by skewed results due to the poor economy. In this part of the country, there are lots of them.
After the experience with my Mom's car, a 95 olds, I'll never ever ever have another GM of any description.
