Kickdown linkage vs Lokar

I am assuming the 904 kickdown linkage is different than the 727, since mine doesn't want to work on my 727.
If I go the Lokar way, what all do I need? On the Lokar website they say to buy their stainless steel carb bracket and return springs, but on Mancini Racing, they just show the cable for $77.
I'd rather just use linkage, as long as I can get it to my house for cheaper than $80..
Opinions? If anyone has a 727 kickdown for my 70 Dart, let me know. Carb is a Holley 750 double pumper, intake is an Edelbrock RPM High Rise.
