I am assuming the 904 kickdown linkage is different than the 727, since mine doesn't want to work on my 727.
If I go the Lokar way, what all do I need? On the Lokar website they say to buy their stainless steel carb bracket and return springs, but on Mancini Racing, they just show the cable for $77.
I'd rather just use linkage, as long as I can get it to my house for cheaper than $80..
Opinions? If anyone has a 727 kickdown for my 70 Dart, let me know. Carb is a Holley 750 double pumper, intake is an Edelbrock RPM High Rise.

your stock linkage wont work with your highrise intake. use locar or bouchillion.

The Lokar only comes in kit form as far as I've seen. Mancini's probably just has a generic picture. If you do a bunch of modifying you can probably make your stock stuff work. Like Zijmer said the high rise is a big problem. So is the Holley. It's not a 727 vs. 904 linkage issue. No stock linkage is gonna work with your setup cause it's totally different than a stock intake and carb.

Fair enough. What confused me, wasn't why the linkage wouldn't go to the carb, but why the linkage wouldn't work between 'down by the pan' and up at the throttle bracket. The bracket still bolts to the same area as stock, so I wasn't sure why the linkage was hitting the bellhousing. Anyways, I'll look into both those cable options.
As for Lokar on the Mancini site, there are a bunch of different ones to choose from, all for a 727, but I assume the $77, cheapest option, is a good enough way to go?

throttle pressure linkage was the most confusing thing that mopar ever did. it seems like every car, every motor/tranny combo, every year had a different setup. thank locar and bouchilion for trying to make it simple.

I use the lokar linkage on my cuda. Easy to install and works great. Everything you need comes in the kit. Properly the cheapest place to buy around here is mopac in langley.

Mike, Zijmer is dead on. Mopar had so many different length rods and a few different levers it's not uncommon to have problems getting them to work right, especially if aftermarket parts are thrown into the works. Good luck with the Lokar. I think you'll like it.
