Way Cool Lower Control Arms

My question is why anyone created a tubular lower arm for these cars in the first place ?
Where was the need or what was to be gained ?
Hundreds of practicly indistructable OEM lower arms still exist. Heck I own 5 pairs LOL
The sway bar tab on the OEM arm is formed in such a way that it isn't going to give so instead the sway bar twists on one side of the arm.
Welding the extra plate on the bottom can only improve the arms strength.
These older cars were built like tanks. That's why we can still drive them.
To change to a lot of pizzy ricer looking parts could mean someday parking it in the field with the risers.
I would sooner support PBS and Big Bird but that's just me. Good luck to QA1 and all

LOL , xs2 on all of the above ....ive seen the frame rail and k member twist and bend before the factory control arm at a good 20 mph curb shot.
