Way Cool Lower Control Arms

I ran a set of CAP lower control arms on my Challenger until very recently. They are lighter, about 8 lbs each vs the stock lca's.

And, they SHOULD be strong enough, if they were built by someone that could weld. I ended up cracking one of welds on mine, which caused the arm to bend up where the tube meets the adjuster housing. Nothing catastrophic, I noticed my car was sitting a 1/2" lower on one side and after doing some searching found the cracked/bent LCA. I don't think it would have failed catastrophically either because of the way they're constructed, but broken is broken.

Other than lighter, they also give you about an extra 1/2" of suspension travel, which can come in handy on lowered cars.

But, unless QA1 has tightened things up, I wouldn't buy them again. The design isn't bad, and they could be beefed up pretty easily in the important spots if you were worried about it. But its really only worthwhile on a racer.

I would be kind of interested to see QA1's product, but I'm not paying that kind of money for it. Don't mess with any of the old CAP stock, its not worth the headache, trouble, or the risk. The welding out of CAP was horrible, even more so than I realized. They covered up their crappy welding with prep work and powder coating.
