2015 SRT Barracuda- who is saving up for one?

Get it right?

They did not get the original dual exhaust tips on it with two rectangle outlets per side.

No slapstick, just the lame "AUTOSTICK" that will shift if you don't... To protect you from yourself...

And the scoops in the hood are too narrow, not like the originals.

If you are going to copy something, do it right.

Keep in mind that they weren't making an exact replica. If they were, it was a replica of some alternate universe C-Body based Challenger that we all forgot about.

Secondly, these cars are hampered by the need to pull parts from what they had available on the shelf...including the platform itself which is a 15 year old Benz platform. The transmission is also part of that problem...they don't have anything like a "slapstick" ready to go. Fortunately, they got the Tremec 6060 up and running by the second model year.

Keep in mind that the "S197" Mustang is based on a late 1990s Lincoln LS platform and the Camaro is based on a nearly as old Australian Holden Monaro.

The good news about the possible new Barracuda (like the next Mustang) is that they're designing new RWD architecture from the ground up...which almost certainly means smaller size, modern materials (read: light weight), high rigidity, optimized suspension geometry, etc. It has potential to be a cutting edge platform.

The presence of a 6.2L/SC Hemi in the new Barracuda has been a consistent rumor. I'm concerned that they may not offer a more "affordable" smaller Hemi, comparable to the R/T Challenger...or that the affordable versions might be turbo 4 cyl. and Pentastar V6 powered..which would be tragic.
