That state threw 2 of its Governors in prison, I hope to never ever go back to Illinois.

I want to think you're being sarcastic but the tone in your post says you're serious. You really think NY is cool for letting drunks off the hook after 3 - 4 years in jail? Apparently you've never lost a love one due to a drunk driver. If you murder someone, you should get sent up the river forever. Driving drunk is murder. It may not be first degree but if someone dies because of your stupid decision, you should be punished to the full extent of the law. Everyone and their mother knows this before getting behind the wheel and you risk it any time you've had a couple beers, whether you think you're impaired or not.
