Sooo frustrated after going through hell for my Drivers License they screwed me

Yeah, so if you just say f**k it, I'm flying through that red light and are sober and kill somebody, you should get less time in jail then if you were drunk and failed to see the red light.

I don't agree with that

No clue where your from but most people around here arent that stupid. And if the situation arises that someone runs a red laike that then theyve most likely got reds and blues behind them anyways.

What is the matter, you sometimes run red lights while sober and afraid now if you kill somebody, it too could be view it as murder ?

Yeah the "people" don't want that cause they sometimes run red lights and think its no big deal, yet go cracking down just on drunk drivers and the "people" are OK with that in some places.

for starters I have never ran a red light in my life. Common sense plays a major role in that.

Sober drivers kill MORE people then drunk drivers, dunks are involved in 1/3 of all fatal accidents....that means 2/3 of drivers are sober in fatal crashes...yet they get off easier

I guess cause there are more of them.

Many people just want to crack down on people who are not like them

They get off easier because they weren,t drunk at the time of the accident.:banghead:

Drunk is drunk no matter how you slice it. Unless the person confessed to wanting to kill the other driver then that places it as an accident. The whole running the red light to kill someone thing is null. When your drunk your opening up a greater chance of killing people. Where did you get your facts by the way?

Yeah and in some places if your drunk its 2nd murder

What the hey, both accidents killed somebody. The sober driver knew darn well what he was doing yet gets off easier then the drunk.

I don't believe that is fair

Perhaps because drinking and driving is illegal as well as killing some one were as a sober person unfortunately cant be charged with being a moron.

Im sorry but if you really feel being drunk while driving shouldnt make a difference you probably shouldnt be driving anyway.

2 months ago , a 50 year old man driving with his 14 and 15 year old nieces in the back of a dodge ram was doing 100 + MPH down highway 50 in Pueblo, Colorado all fucked up on vodka and ran a red light, T- boned a pontiac grand am with 3 teenagers in the car and killed all 3 of them. the two girls flew out of the back of the truck and landed in critical condition but survived. the drunk MFker got out of the truck and walked to the curb and sat there with a little scratch on his head until the cops came. In MY honest opinion , this drunk *** POS should be put to death, but no, they are trying to get him a manslaughter charge. drunk drivers that kill should be put to death IMO

NY seems really cool, I hear of drunks killing people while driving and they get 3 - 4 years in jail, in Illinois you get sen up the river forever.

How is that cool ? what of a drunk killed your mother and only got 2 years and the courts reason was he was drunk and didnt know what he was doing ?

Driving while suspended tickets.

.......STILL waiting to hear why it was suspended in the first place.
I'm having a hard time having any sympathy for you, sorry.
You F'ed up and are now bitching about the consequences. YOU created the mess, man up and deal with it.

Sounds like you showed up in court and faced the music why was the bond forfit in the first place? You need a good lawyer that actually has a track record of results. If you owed on the bond wouldn't that be owed as a judgement to the bonding company not the state?

Kinda looked that wat to me too. Anytime you go on the highway you take a chance between the drunk drivers, texters and people that can't drive straight while talking on their cell phone.
Russian Roulette is bad enough with one bullet in the gun!

How many driving on a suspended tickets did you get? and why was your license suspended in the first place?

License was originally suspended for 3 moving violations in a 12 month period. When I was 19. Total dwls tickets is around 13 all within 3 years of each other. Roselle pd use to wait for me to leave for work because they knew I was an easy ticket. They had to start making up reasons to pull me over like my work id hanging off my mirror was obstructing my view or my rear bumper was too high. I admit I did this to myself but this is way more then anyone should have to go through.

No your right as a teenage father I had to work to feed my newborn and my wife didn't drive at all she had no license so I risked it everyday trying to get to work to feed my kid. So sit on your high horse and judge me because you never f@#&* up in life ever I'm sure. And I bet you still aren't paying for it 13 years later.

Yes I showed up, pleaded guilty got sentenced served jail time got fined, was told by the judge that since I was unemployed I didn't need to pay them right away that I had a year to pay $13,000 dollars and never paid it. Had I know it would have ended up this bad I would have started paying it years ago.

And I wouldn't be bitching if I hadn't been told by the clerks office that if I paid the $13k in fines I would be OK until the day I paid the fines then they changed their story.

If your lic status in IL is suspended pending bond, you get caught driving in IL with a WI lic, guess what, you probably pick up a new charge.

Better be careful.

I paid for reinstatement my license is no longer suspended it is expired problem is I can't renew until the county lifts the hold. So if I were to drive and get pulled over I would get ticketed for expired license.

I,ve been in your shoes myself(over 10 yrs ago).Do you still drive? If yes,STOP today! If you ever want to drive again, you need to make this Top Priority in life right now.Find a better lawyer, they should be able to swing a deal so that you can make restitution with monthly payments(even if it takes a lifetime)to get your licence back.JMO

We,ve all made mistakes when we were younger, but there comes a time when you have to admit that you,ve done this to yourself. Now it all depends on how bad you want to go legit with your Privledge to drive.I went 9yrs,8mnths without my licence.Been there.Good luck.:coffee2:

Stopped driving years ago. And honestly I only want a valid license for work. State won't even give me a restricted permit without the hold lifted.

Apply for disability and start collecting from the state! Then they might reconsider their stand. I still think you need to find the right lawyer. Possibly an ex district attorney who is well connected. Arguing your case yourself will get you nowhere. I hired an attorney who got me out of a whole heap of trouble before when I was young. Driving 100 plus in a 50 zone, blew a .11 percent, open container and ended up with a 5 point reckless driving charge and $210 fine. The judge was furious at the outcome but it was outside of her control. The arresting officer actually testified on my behalf! Yes I know I was stupid and I deserved much worse but the point is the right lawyer can save your but.

I stopped drinking 4 years ago because of what I consider to be an excellent reason. I was so hammered that I had to have a buddy drive me home. He couldnt drive a 5 spd so he ended up burning out the clutch on my 79 280zx. I was so furious that I havent touched alcohol since. Slightly off topic but I figured that Id throw in a common sense story for those who think drinking and driving is ok because its "Difficult to break the habit"

Depends where you are at, in SW Michigan they hit you with 2nd degree murder and most often get a conviction. My dentist kid got rear ended by a drunk who was being chased by a person who didn't like his bad driving, the drunk was 29 years old and got 30 to 70 years in prison, he be an old man if he ever gets out

Now again, NY state, its far different..not sure about other states

Canada is "soft" on all crimes

Canada is ''soft'' on all crimes?
Maybe you should come up here sometime and try it.
What a freaking arrogant ignoramus you are. :finga:
