Finally, after 4 1/2 years.....Running!

At long last the Dart is running. After some electrical\ignition issues, cranked on it a little. Timing a little far advanced. Adjusted and fired on next crank. My neighbor who has been helping a little heard the beast start and ran over throwing his jacket. I needed to put another 3 quarts in the trans.....holds 10 quarts. Ran the cam breakin sequence for about 25 minutes. Blue smoke for the first couple of minutes, then clean. No missing, so I pray the cam is good. Oil pressure 80 cold, then got down to 65 about 15 minutes into the run in. Got a little warm, but started spraying the radiator till the end of the run in and was fine. Everything in the drive train is new, trans, converter, drive shaft, rear end, all of front end, all brakes, etc. I backed out fo the driveway and moved a couple hundred feet down the road and back, checking brakes and trans. No issues! After the cam run, let it back down to idle and set at about 900. Oil pressure about 40 to 45 at idle. I put it back in the garage and shut it down. This thing is a beast! I about colapsed from my elation. I sat there for a good hour, just pondering all that I have went through to get to this point. Still have much work to do, change the oil, install the inner springs, get a torque strap put on, etc., etc. But for today.......I'm happy! I will put together a full sequence of pictures and a write up along with a video, as time permits. Thanks for your responses to questions during the past years. I have uploaded a few pics for now.
