Hey, guys!
1973 Dart Sport front disk job is on tap. :D

I need parts as listed above- pads, rotors, flexible lines...hoping the calipers are ok.

Can anyone reccomend a source for all of these parts? What type of fluid is appropriate for the system (non boosted)?

Thanks for any help!

Rockauto.com is a great source for parts. Can't guarantee they have every single part you need....but it's generally a more enjoyable experience than trying to explain to the 19yr old girl behind the parts counter at your local Autozone (Oreilly, etc. etc.) what you need.

I've found a decent amount of stuff on Amazon, too.

Any local auto parts place will have them, or be able to get them next day usually.
I was surprised at how much they still carry in stock for 73's.

I also usually look the parts up myself on thier websites and jst give them part numbers to avoid the know nothing counter people.

Amen to that. It's funny when you give them the part number and you can tell they are still REALLY itching to put the car make & model into the computer. :D

I rebuilt my front brakes with most of the parts from Rock auto...if I had gone to a local place...Auto Zone, O'Reilleys etc...I would have saved money on shipping and spent about the same on parts. Also, when it came time to return the cores on calipers, the return shipping ate up the core deposit.

I know what you mean, and it's kinda funny/sad but that's all they really know how to do.

EXACTLY.

that really is funny. i walk into auto bone and spill out a part number for a radiator hose and the first thing out of his mouth is " and what are we working on today?" i think they are programmed to say that. i say "a car" lol , then i had to hand him the piece of paper the part number is written on. he got all bummed like his dog just died LOL

LOL... thanks, guys. I'm going to try the local shop as you suggested!
Come to think of it, the owner has a beautiful blue 1967 Barracuda (as well as a nicely preserved Ferrari 308)...so I'm not sure If I'll get the same satisfaction out of part-number-jeopardy that you guys did! :D
