thats a chevy guys excuse every time rofl my buddy had a 383 stroker motor with a dual 4 tunnel ram and wanted to race my old 67 valiant with a built 360 he didnt believe me i had 624hp in it we road raced and i never got out of second gear lol he said it was because his carbs werent in tune intell my nephew told him i was in second the whole time he was in 4th
 
btw bought the car that way with blueprinted motor for 1500 bucks by chance when i ran out of gas in front of the guys house his nephew built it for him but he was legaly blind so it never got drove i made the offer as a joke and he agreed
 
I don't get it, clearly that El camino is a work in progress. So it got worked by a complete duster.

When I was just out of H.S. I street raced a guy with my 71 318 Swinger who had a 76 Nova with 383 stroker, Brodix heads, 3000 stall, blah, blah, blah.

He pulled out 2 cars ahead of me and that's where we stayed. Well, until I seen something red-hot come from under his car and it was smoking like crazy. Broke part of a valve and thats what came out.

That's right....made that chebbie work to beat the 318. lol Wouldn't race me again after that. He never worked on his car but had a local "mechanic" do all the work. I'm sure the dude told him not to try and race me again as he knew who me and my family were and what we was about (MOPARS and racing MOPARS). What a joke. lol

The reason the "Dodge Duster" won, is it must have the RARE factory 340 HEMI option, with the "HEMI" transmission out to the "HEMI" rear end! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Really, I learned (endured) all about it at Goodguys from the gent featured below.

RE: 1965 "Dodge" Barracuda: Magnum head small block A-833 4 sp to a 9" Ford. Dude at the swap meet told me this was all the rare original HEMI stuff that came in it. 19K firm. "Bon-Jour!"

lol..I can laugh at that chebby all I want..because the driver happens to be a close friend of mine. I posted this thread to bust his chops as in his words "Ill be damned if I get beat by a damn MOPAR.

Furthermore this wasnt just some random thread to start a "Who's wank is bigger" thing. I was raised chevy..no harsh feelings towards them in fact my inheritance is my grandpas 49 stepside....as for fords..well I havent dealt with them much but oh well. Imports Ive owned one of just about every manufacturer, cant say I miss any of them aside from my toyota.

We can all bash on each other and other Makes of cars but I see alot of people getting butt hurt when someone does it to them..right after they themselves started in on someone.
 
Mine was all in jest. Its all good. Yeah I never been beat. Thats like saying been married 30 years and never had a fight. Yeah right!
