How do you take this center hub cap off? Do you have to pull the whole wheel off? It won't come off with a screwdriver prying it and I don't want to break it.

Also, how do you get it to stay on tighter and not rattle?

Thanks!

I think those are 1/4 inch bolts behind the wheel. If they run loose long enough the bolts threads will eat away the threads in the potmetal.

That's rite I was talking about the head on the bolts that hold the centers on mine were 5/16 head

You can jb weld them tight but once you do that you will always have to use it.

1/4 inch bolt has a 7/16 head ( not that its a big deal ).
Seems like 100 years ago now when I had loose rattling centers on AMC Gremlin X wheels. The threads were shot. I thought I would be smart to retap every hole to 5/16 and put a new bolt in every hole. Guess what ? The 5/16 standard bolt head is 1/2 hex and too thick to let the wheel mount properly also. I had to countersink evey hole in all 4 wheels and use flat head machine screws, flat head screw driver and all.
Fun fun

the ones on my Scamp are held on my robertson head machine screws.

...wait, do the Americans know about robertson head yet? I haven't given out a national secret have I?
:D

Factory bolts had the smaller head that was described earlier.
