Arizona Swinger

ran into a small problem with a new left front door latch. The old latch had sustained quite a bit of damage where the striker bolt continuously hit it, when the door dropped because of bad hinge pins and bushings.

I bought a new latch from one of the suppliers which came in a box marked '68 Dart/Barracuda/Valiant. Everything looked good except it did not have the lever for the inside door lock linkage. Simple enough!! Just take the correct lever from the old latch and install it on the new latch. WRONG!! Now I had an inside lock linkage hook up, but I lost the capability to open the door from the inside. It seems there were several other levers that had to be changed to have all functions. Mission accomplished and the latch works perfectly fine! Just another modification to make new parts work on old cars!

Also a shot of the new radio speaker with wires and brackets attached. Ben.
