any one running the race bullets on a street car?volume wise what would you compare them to?being a fabricator by trade ive built several exhausts for my dart over the years. my current favorite set up is a 3" xpipe with dynomax ultraflows.however,i held off on fabbing the tailpipes until i knew how a 3" system would react with my combo.now that i know that it works well with my set up im building the tail pipes.just recently a friend gave me a set of race bullets and i was debating trying them.i just wanted some feed back so i could make a more informed decision .thanks

I will be when I finally finish putting mine back together !! I too will be interested to see just how loud my Mighty /6 will be !!:blob::blob:

Are you talkin race bullets with ultra flows or just race bullets? I hope you can get away with just race bullets and don't meet any cops. They will be loud as the only muffler.

pretty loud

Had them on my 451 stroker,3'' without tailpipes. LOUDDDDD !But still considered a muffler.Keeps the tracks happy that require them.Car is apart now.Plan on using them again with tailpipes this time.

just race bullets with tail pipes. they are the longest bullet in 3".they have an 18" case.

Go for it, our motto here at the Redneck Garage is if ya can't hear it,it ain't worth havin!!!! That mustang sounded wicked BTW.

ive seen the vid of the mustang before, its got no tail pipes.like my current set up,my car sounds similar.but ive also have a nasty resonance at low speed under load.tail pipes should solve the problem i hope.id like to keep the volume, just not the resonance.

Ive got race bullets on 12 inch extentions off my headers to tone done the open headers, just so i can move the car around so I dont piss off the neighbors. It still pisses them off.

they're loud, i ran a set on a 440 off some collector extensions for a while on the street. was ok for around the neighbor hood but them long drives would make your ears ring. really drone in the car. i did like the fact that they didn't slow the car down any at the track, it would actually 60 foot a little better than completely uncapped.

If you dont like boxem up and send over to my place! I would love a set of these. Nice sound on the Stang Adam.

thanks for the feed back .the stangs exhaust is dumped.as are most of the other clips ive found on line.or they are bolted directly to the header like others have mentioned earlier.i have yet to find an example of a full length system on a non "modern" car.

I have them on mine they come out in ft of rear tires sound Awesome ( r loud )

Greetings 340 8 barrel,
Do you happen to have 1 7/8" header tubes? If so, I have some RaceBullet header collector mufflers I can share with you. Email me for more info.

thanks for the offer, but no i got 1.625 headers, and this is a full length 3" system i built.i ended up keeping the ultraflows in place for now.its actually much quieter than what i expected with tail pipes.no drone at all.nice deep idle, but very mellow until you stand on it.i may swap mufflers at a later date but i have other issues to deal with at the moment.

i ended up swapping in the race bullets.its loud, but with a full length system and x pipe, not terrible.to take the edge of the note i ended up fabbing a set of stainless resonators that are held in place by ID/OD band clamps.that way i can swap them out for the section of tailpipe they replaced for some added rumble when i go to cruz night.
