what stall to use for tranny

i am building a 408 i wanna keep on the street upper end take to the track 1 or 2 times a month i have a 727 and a 904 wich 1 should i build
and what is the best stall for me looking at 480 hp or who builds the best tranny lets say the 904 for header clearance 10 inch outlaw by aac or do i want to go smaller with higher stall but maintaine streetability on the edge going in a 65 barracuda with 3:91 posi like to go low 11 high 10ns wich way to go tranny and tourquenverter

You shouldn't need a ton of stall with the stroker. I'm thinking a well built 904 and a high 3k converter should get close to your goal. I've seen members using the 9.5 PTC in that range with good results. Hope some of them will chime in.
