Problems at the gas pump in Ca.

I can't let go of the pump handle when I fuel my Duster or my Challenger, the vapor recovery system keeps the nozzle from locking in, so you can't lock the handle and walk away. Works fine if you stand there and fuel it yourself, but you have to keep pressure on the vapor recovery system by holding the nozzle during fueling. Minor annoyance, still beats the crap out of driving some new plastic POS.

I agree.

I have to fill my 68 Barracuda manually and hold the pump lever the whole time.

Around here in So Cal (all California?) we have special nozzles with heavily sprung bellows that push heavily against the filler neck. The hooking part of the pump nozzle will not hook hard enough to overcome the bellows pushing against the filler neck.

I was in Las Vegas last week and they have different nozzles. I think most of the U.S. have them like that.
