The steering has some play and is kind of loose? Is there an adjustment on the steering box?

Thanks

I would say depends on wha box you have. Some have a nut (lock nut)on top with (what looks like a bolt stud) with a slit for screwdriver on top. Loosen the nut turn the stud to tighten up.

Do not over tighten or your steering wheel wont return to center when you make a turn.

I'm no tech but if you have the box described above where you loosen the nut and then tighten using a big screwdriver...no more than 1/4 turn at a time and drive it after each adjustment (including taking it out on the highway) till you get it the way you want it.

Retighten the nut first!!!

You absolutely need to READ the shop manual!!! There is a procedure for adjusting these, and both must checked/ adjusted. You can't just tighten up the "obvious" adjustment.
