I didn't notice a huge difference in sound, but it WAS parked too long for the interior work to get any real comparison. What I did notice was the reduction in heat coming up from the floor boards. I recently installed a stereo with an amp and can't really enjoy it over the drone of the Flowmasters. They will go when the engine is replaced.

Yeah, that sounds like the boxes I used, but I paid around $100/box if I remember correctly. It's been several years ago.

I don't think you would go wrong with the Fat Mat. My buddy uses the Hush Mat because that's what his supplier has, so that's what I went with.
