Just wondering if anybody knew of a good place(s). I'd like to get the ball rolling, along with pulling the frame and painting it before I dive into the body and paint on the rest of the car...not super confident this is something I have the patience to do myself!

Cannot recommend a shop, but if you are going to remove your top frame you might want to make a couple of small holes in the mounting brackets for lineup when reinstalling.

Make them large enough for a pin punch, 2 each side, then your frame will be back in the correct place when reinstalling

Genius advice, thank you! From a fellow 67 vert owner even :thumbup:

I use a upholster guy that is located behind the TI plant at 75 and 635 he does really good work. His name is Jason and his number is 214-575-7102.

Hah awesome man I work off 75, my old office was next to TI. Does he just do side work? That might be nice, I'm guessing the labor price might be a little less than a shop...

Appreciate it!

This guy did some stuff on my Lancer Wagon. He also does work for Ramsey's Rods in north fort worth. He is in mansfield right off debbie lane. 700 west debbie lane suite 101. He treated me right.

Really nice and helpful guy there (Jason). The price was a bit more than I'd imagined at around 1500. Closer to 3000 if I want the frame blasted and coated.

I'm going to call the other places but I may end up doing this myself, not sure I can bring myself to spend 3k replacing the top (and doing it right).

Use a 1/8"-dia. drill bit. It will make it easy to reinstall the brackets. Works great on hood, trunk and door hinges as well to reinstall in the same place and keep your gaps correct.

Jeez! Last time I got a quote, a place off Plano Rd. wanted $450 labor to install my own top and pads. I noticed they aren't there anymore, but I'd definitely check around.

For 3K I'd take my chances and install it myself. I could afford to screw up a few tops for less than 3K...

It's been a little bit but since I'm trying to catch up on this car I thought I'd bump to see if anybody else had recommendations.

Tried looking up the name of the business/phone # for Hyper_pak's recommendation but I guess my Google-foo sucks, no luck finding anything.
