Its Time To Build Some BOOST!

Bill:

You need heat to make power. Once you get the A/F around 12:1 boost will come up. If you can get to 11.7:1 and tune from there you have less chance of roasting a piston.

Consider wrapping that long header to retain some heat. Hot expanding gasses spin the turbine.

That's good advice and we'll take it!

As we speak, I am on my way to the shop to "police up" the torque values on all the many manifold studs/nuts/washers to ensure that they are all sufficiently tight so as to minimize any potential leaks, and also we'll evaluate the A/F mixture in an effort to get the mixture sufficiently rich to generate adequate heat at the turbo.

Baby steps, but we'll get it!!

Thanks much for the good advice! If we have to wrap the header, we surely will!

I'll let you know what we learn, tomorrow. We'll do a test-n-tune on the system, tomorrow!
