Well, the truck is down for maintenance:banghead: This truck is my daily driver. Today, on the way into work, its started misfiring like mad. I thought as I rode into work, "Oh please, don't be that" Nope. My head gasket was blown. Water was in the oil. The oil reeked like antifreeze. Time to pull off for a pit stop! :D

Things that are gonna be done while its off the road are:
Power valve in the Holley
Heads machined, maybe some small stuff done to them while they are at the machine shop.
Head gasket
wiring cleanup
transmission cooler lines cleaned up.
transmission pan gasket
rear main seal.
new valve covers and cap and PCV
Tach wired better.
Quick and cheap exhaust made and done.
Coolant system flush
Thermostat
Wiper motor
New wires
Plugs Cap.
vacuum advance pod
Lokar kickdown cable and linkage(most likely gonna fabricate something simple to keep the stock throttle cable)
(any input on a better made kickdown would be awesome)

Damn! That's a list!:happy1:

Here's some pics of the truck, I traded the Zombie Dart to Terry(ef8340) along with quite a lot of parts to make it even. Thanks again Terry, even though it can be a drama queen sometimes, gotta love it:cheers:

I ditched the black plastic toolbox for now. Saving it for long trips.

Pulled the plugs and headers off today. Will post pics after work. #1 and #8 plugs were black but no cracks in the cap.

Love the body style on these trucks, I picked up a 78 W150 a couple of months ago off the original 92 year old owner, the truck is in really good shape and only has 79K actual miles.

I have also had a couple of the later years box body style trucks.

Post it up!

Pulled off the passenger side rocker arm shaft and rockers today. They actually don't look too bad or scored.. I'll take some pics tomorrow as it got dark as I got em off. I also pulled off the distributor and got inside my Holley. Looks like the power valve blew because someone stacked two power valve gaskets.

So far, everything is looking good from what I've been seeing.

im going to get mine done soon too doing a full rebuild on my 360 in jan. im lucky that my friend has a 360 i can drop in intel its done lol

id love to but i dont think ill be able to afford one but i never used one before and still built some nice fast rides had a 75 dartsport /6 that could do low 13 high 12 in quarter

Cool truck, I have an 1987 d100 myself. Was a /6, then 360, then another 360, now a 440. So you could say I know my way around them. Good luck with the repairs.

I probably should not post this here but you guys are talking trucks,
so what the heck.
I have a 1977 for sale if any of you old truck guys need another.
In Canada thou.

Mine was a 360-2 barrel truck originally. Mine went the opposite way though, less cubes. lol. Sweet truck though! Bet you made an arm and a leg on it. I'm jealious of the grill alone!

Sweeet!! And yeah, the power steering on these is so amazing! without it, it's a nightmare.

Atleast you know it's in good hands. I've been seeing a good lot of these trucks popping up on Craigslist by us a lot lately for cheap. That and the old Sweptlines.

Update! The heads are in the shop and everything is looking peachy-keen on the inside so far. I wish I had internet again so I could show you guys just how good. Unfortunately, it looks like my cam has taken a real beating. But the good news is my valve seats are in great shape and the rest of the head looks really good. So far. I dropped off the heads at the local shop, No MSG. Not on Main Street Garage. Great guys there who know Mopar heads and machining.

Update on Monday, if I can, on the condition of the heads once they have been torn down and thoroughly inspected. I'll try and get some pics too! Sorry bout the lack of pics, I know you guys are picture people and a lot of you have helped me a lot along this build.

If anyone would like to contact me, my phone number is 678-852-1498. I'm not able to access the internet much but I am very proud I have been able to conquer such a difficult task and feel accomplished so far, despite a few whoopsies here and there
