I don't know if this is all true, but.........

My grandmother and her sisters would cut an onion in half and put it by our water bucket , We drank out of a ladle and we carried water in the
house, but don't let anyone catch you drinking out of the ladle :D
As soon as we got to the the labor camp and picked a room we would clean the big one room with 2 full size beds for hours (most of the time us kids would get out running and playing) But yes, at the water bucket there was an onion cut in half, I forgot all about this till I seen this post.. Bugs and insects stings we always cut a potato down the middle and tied it to the bite, I dare anyone to do this, I had a bad wasp bite on my right check and remembered this a few years back and it took all the poison out and swelling was gon in about 30 minutes..:happy1:
