I was having my car media & sand blasted. I gave them exact instructions on where to blast & what I wanted done welllllllll their non english understanding employees blasted my WHOLE car even the new parts I had just put on it before I brought it there. I need a rotisserie to borrow/rent asap within driving distance because the car is going to the body shop in the next few days & have body work done & he can't do the bottom of the car from jack stands. ANY help would be appreciated! This is going to kill what budget I had set aside. They even blasted my wheels, rear end which had the line taped up,my new KYB shocks,New SS springs, freshly redone rear axle,EVERYTHING and the original undercoating that I was trying to preserve.

Don't wait very long, I am sure you know this (sorry) I would get that up quick
pronto even if you have to get it up on a car lift and get some etching primer or just a good equipment enamel on it, DANG!! that had to turn a good day bad fast!! :help:
A bump to anyone that has a rotisserie for you Sedanman..

Another guy on a different thread from about 6 min before this, had this EXACT same same thing happen! J/k I cant believe they did the shocks & springs

Those were new KYB shocks & the whole rear suspension was freshly painted, the front suspension too. I didn't even look & see if they blasted my new rotors to get the paint off the back of my wheels. I don't think I'm going to be happy about any of this deal & I owe $1350 for what he was "supposed to do".

do they still have the car?

You should get the car on a roll-off and not pay a dime. Definate crime there. Frikkin mezzikans. What was the media, sand or soda?

They still have it. He is putting it in the primer that I was actually paying for. I think sand was 1 & will have to ask what the other media was.

Get the bottom primered also and looks like you now have a rotesserie resto. Nice solid car BTW. My fish is in need of blasting as it is all apart too. I will be sure to put in writing the instructions and have the guy doing the work sign the instruction sheet and I keep a copy. That sucks.

Nice Dana 60 but where are the frame connectors? Reduce the payment cause they messed up a bunch of stuff they cannot fix with primer. Probably also blasted the steering box and K frame too.

Good idea! We verbally went over the car. That is a BBP 8 1/4 from a 73 & up dart. I figured on redoing all the seam sealer anyways. I am sooooooo glad I took the glass out! I did a Craigslist search & there is a guy not too far from me that does rotisserie restorations & need to bring the car by him for a price. I'm thinking of Rhino lining the under carriage. Has anyone done this? I drive my car all year round except winter

Won't advise on the way to handle, but I'd look
at all your seals, brakes, steering for sand.
Parts wear pretty fast with grit in them and
high pressure blasting puts it places you won't see
without very close inspection.
Might require disassembly to know for sure.

This sucks. They did a great job though... To bad that wasn't your intent. You need an immediate fix. Lawyers can't help for that. God I feel your pain sir.

Good luck. Wish I could help.

a letter from a lawyer telling them they're going to pay for ALL the repairs might help...

Look, these people are either completely incompetent or dishonest, or both, You need to find out what it takes to get a "stop work" order and get that car out of their possession, and get it documented, IE a witness who carries some weight, and photos.

The damage sand does to bearings, brakes, chromed shock shafts and seals is not only an "end" to the component, it could be argued it's a safety hazard.

Well on a brighter note, that looks like a really nice solid undercarriage on your car.

It turns out that I actually have a local buddy who has a rotisserie & will be picking it up when I pick up the car. Thanks for all the help & offers! Thanks for the compliments,I bought it off of CL in LA CA. I looked at the receipt & it had detailed instructions on what was to be blasted & with which material. I will be putting the damage or pending inspection on the rear & front suspension & also pending on any body warpage just to cover my ***.
