hello all, finally getting my ol girl to the rolling road, same guy tuned my barracuda when it was a 318, now its a 440, running a four speed, 906 heads, proform 750 carb, edelbrock dual plane inlet, shumacker headers,no idea cam but guessing stock due to idle, the motor a low comp but 65 casting so have plans to wake her up in future, what sort of hp you reakon? im thinking touch over 300 at flywheel judging how it went with 318 and that made 240hp.

While your there tuning it,ask about a bigger cam than stock...wake er up!Maybe get in the 350hp range.Good luck.

Oh,whats Rolling Rock??

Rolling road= chassis dyno? 350 flywheel HP.

65 block? 440 didn't come out til 66. maybe late 65 block? just wondering

hello, its 65 on the casting,it runs nice but not seem to have the livleyness, has been suggested a pair of closed chamber heads and cam wake up the sleeping giant!

oh well it all went a little tits up, air leaks on carb base and inlet to head, going to remove tomorrow and take to pal in machine shop, see how true the faces are, and if can take a little off without buggering up alignment. bit miffed as a sealed up not long ago taking time to clean up surfaces etc, maybe the compound i used no good, somone mentioned permatex?

Hello,
Does the 440 fit with haveing to trim the inner fenders.
I am thinking about putting a 440 in my 68 CUDA?

If the block's a '65 it's a 66 model year and already has the closed chamber heads. It also has some oddball pushrods and lifters so if you do a cam get pushrods too. If it was running well I'd say around 250-280 at the tires.
