I stripped on of the bolt heads on the rear main seal. Any suggestions on how to remove it? I did remove the other one and it required a lot of force so I am not sure a bolt out will work.

you might be able to tap a smaller 6 pt MM socket on to it.

yes, get a smaller metric socket, and tap it on the head for a tight fit...then try..

if you can keep pressure on it and spin it with a little cheater on your ratchet, even better
..............there is sockets specifically designed for just that purpose..............kim....

they are pretty cheap if you buy them single. youll get it done its not bad yet lol you didn't break the head off it. i have had to tap and die i few holes from my friends breaking bolts off.

Try to put some pliers on it then squeeze the pliers together with channel locks and try to back it out that way. I broke the head off a header bolt once and had to back out the bolt that way.

i have done this and hammered the smaller socket on it also used a pocket torch on the area to heat and expand the metal then it broke loose. that was a last resort though.
if all else fails
weld a good bolt right onto the top of the stripped head and it will come right off by using socket or wrench on the new bolt - the heat from welding the new bolt onto the stripped one will loosen it up and they twist right out.

Some more food for thought, you could always get an old socket and swab a bunch of JB Weld in it then place it over the stripped bold for a day or so. I used this method on a stripped head bold on my ninja 1000r. It hardened around the bolt head and provided me with enough grab to loosen it.
Start with a center drill close to center as you can punch mark it. Then step up the drill size until you reach the bolt shank diameter. The goal is make the head break or fall off. Lift the cap off and you have plenty of bolt shank exposed to get vise grips or small pipe wrench on.
