So working at a body shop has it's benefits. I have an over abundance of useable dashboards. I have a 2006 Chevy Cobalt dash I can use which is 1" too short for the Scamp and it's a cool looking dash but it is a chevy part. Other choice is a 2007 Dodge charger dash that is 4" too wide that I have a really good interior guy that if I narrow the dash it would be seamless. I don't know what to do and I would appreciate any input.

i drove them both chargers dash is way better besides it is mopar lol

just so long as you don't make the same mistake as chrysler and make the speedo permanately blocked by the steering wheel. I like the way the chargers drive while their suspension is fresh (20k at best) but I can not get comfy in them at all.

So it is a Chebby part....it is your car if that is the one that YOU like the most use it. Aint like any of it is going to be original.....

I have always wanted to do the opposite. take a new car and put an old steel a-body dash in it. that would really be cool. new challenger with old challenger dash, column, seats and power plant in it.

Cause it was free, and, it will be easier to make door panels to make up the gap as opposed to narrowing an entire dash frame and cover.

ok i get that lol i just dont really like the set up my self i drove one around as a rental and it just felt like a slightly nicer ford Taurus to me lol. it is your car though do what you want and youll be happy. i think the gauge cluster on the charger looks more performance styling and yes id probably pick the mopar parts before others lol

I'm under the belief that it's your car do what you want with it, who cares who made it, if its superior, or fits you needs more, use it.

It would help if your had a picture of both up here. I can't recall what a cobalt dash looks like.

Can I vote for neither? They're both ugly and too new car-ish looking too me. It's your car, use whichever one you prefer to look at.

I have a feeling the Charger dash wouldn't like right being narrowed 4". The cobalt could be cool if you modified it a bit. Maybe replace the two center HVAC vents with gauges and appropriate looking pod surround. I like the looks of the Charger dash better but I think the overall look of the Cobalt would be better in the end; proportions on the Charger dash would be off quite a bit. Cool that you thought about it though. I thought about it with a Viper dash but they are kind of plain and I wasn't feeling it. The Gen V would be a different ballgame altogether though.

me i like the stock look myself but doing some thing like that could be cool keep us posted
