I just purchased my new winter project and its a 68 Cuda notchback. Im happier than a queer in a dick patch!:p
I will start a build thread in the projects section today

QUESTION: BB or SMB (mild driver)
I have a 383 already and I have always wanted a 6 pack car. I am thinking mild street cam and clean stock looking engine bay with the mopar 6 pack air cleaner,Disk brakes and AL heads to keep weight down
Negative for me is the 383 is heavy and its a little car(nose heavy)

SMB ..Then I have to find one and I do not see any LA engines on EBAY
What about going with a Magnum motor say 360?? Build the 360, convert it to a controlled leak motor(carbs) bigger cam, and and a 6 pack manifold
If I went fuel injection i would go Hemi but I dont have the pockets
for that,

BB or SMB any suggestions are appreciated and thanks?

Magnum 360 is a good choice. Check the heads for cracks. You can also put an adapter from Hughes Engines and run a mechanical fuel pump. A magnum freshened up with a cam in it would make a great street engine.

OK, I have one vote for a 360 Magnum
I have read about all the head cracks. Are Magnum motors easy to update with aftermarket heads?
Nice Cuda , like the stock wheel look, thx for the pic

To put anything in it besides what the factory put in it will probably become much more than a wintertime project.

My 68 had a 440 in it for drags by the PO. I got it without an engine. The k-member was modified, I think, for the BB engine. I plan on going with a SB as I have one already. Weather you go SB or BB you can do a six pack and both look great in this engine bay!

Engine Quest heads will bolt right on, they flow good, and don't cost a lot.

Mine is a 383 4 spd. Drives fine, I would recommend upgraded disc brakes on all 4 corners. If your worried about the weight 440 source has a very nice set of aluminum "stealth" heads. You go with aluminum intake, water pump etc and relocate your battery would be no problem.
Came with 383 from the factory so you know it works

i just brought it home and its a beauty! Blue interior and I like it , looks cool, I am going to paint it HOK True Blue...But thats another forum..I will get pics over there today

If you have the 383 put it in.You will never look back.
i have decided on the 383. Took my 383 apart yesterday and got it ready for the machine shop. Like to do something different though for induction. Thinking about a 6 pack set-up?

Note: got batteries so getting closer
