Hey folks, new guy saying hello.
A little about me:

I just got back from a deployment with the Air National Guard, I'm a Gearhead, Geek, and Jack-of-all Trades.
I'm a new father (son was born during my deployment).
I'm a new owner of a 1974 Plymouth Duster 318. (Bonus money from my deployment yay!) It's going to have a hopped up 1990 360 roller cam (donated from the 1988 Power Ram I had). I'm in the process of rebuilding the motor right now as we speak, The motor has hardly any wear in the cylinders so it going to stay 4.00 in bore, just honed. It is going to have about 9.7 to 1 Compression ratio.
The duster is in pieces (bought it that way) with the body stripped down to the metal.

Currently I'm looking around for:
Oil pan (truck pans obviously don't work)
Hyd. Roller Cam with around .480 -.500 lift.
Longer oil pick up tube for mopar cars.
A727 or maybe even an A518 transmission (A904 won't cut it)

Later on I'm getting:
Aluminum Heads
Alluminum Intake Manifold.
Rebuilt Thermoquad or Road Demon.

Pictures coming soon...

Welcome aboard, and THANK YOU for your service.

I'm a bit curious as to why you think a 904 won't "cut it". They can be built to withstand high horsepower applications and they are far less of a drag on your horsepower.

Welcome to FABO!!! Congrats on the new car, your new Son, and Thank You for your service!!!! :salute:

Yeah that's true, but here's the deal I already have a free 727 rebuild kit (which I found in the back of a junkyard Ramcharger) it also has a no yoyo kit.
The junkyard is selling ANY Tranny for $125.00
So I have several choices.
A727 (Cheapest to rebuild)
A904 (Less drag+not as cheap to rebuild)
A518 (OD+definitely not as cheap to rebuild)
A500 (Less Drag+OD+not as cheap to rebuild)

Once everything is put together on this thing, I'm going to paint it myself.

Just think I painted this motorcycle myself with HOK Tangelo Pearl.
