Just thought I would through this out if anyone is looking for a cool simple way to eliminate the fuel cap when running a cell in the trunk and not have the filler in the original position. The simple drawing is below the picture and you should be able to print it by right clicking on the picture and choosing print. I made my own from 6061 aluminum. Most general machine shops should keep the stock in house. It is attached with 10-32 socket head cap screws. If you drive your vehicle in the weather you will want to use stainless fasteners, then just nut them on the back side, as black coated socket heads will rust. Also, you may want to make a gasket or put some sealer behind the plate, to keep the water out. This is not a perfect drawing but should do the job.

Just one question. Why is the top cap screw hole .003" further from the center than the other three? Typo?

That is nice, I think I am going to hook up a nascar style pipe to my cell, just so I dont have to open the trunk. I like it though!

Good catch, probably when I was drawing it up and the dimension snapped to something close and not where it intended. Does not have to be the .003 off. Just a goof on my part.
