'67 Valiant: Rebirth

-
Nothing major to update so far. Collecting more parts. Got Viper front calipers on the way. Traded my early-style swaybar LCAs for a set of '73-'76 LCAs, which have been stripped and blasted, the edges hit with a grinder and stiffening plates welded on. Got '73-'76 drum spindles, required for the Viper calipers. Built a set of dollies to sit the car on while the k-member is out. So much to do...

Probably going to go with Firm Feel tubular UCAs and the poly front-end rebuild kit with 11/16" tie-rod setup from Firm Feel. Got a set of the Mustang rear brake caliper mounts from Dodgedifferent2.

Got a '73 Valiant four-door rear bumper for my back-up light conversion idea...We'll see how it goes.

Hoping to get the front and rear suspension/steering/k-member completely sorted out this summer and basically just have them waiting til I need them.

Aw yeah...

Will order the mounting kit soon.

There are plenty of Jeeps up here in the u pull it yard if your still looking for parts. How does the 1 go about swapping viper brake stuff on an a body?

Order for the '73-'76 urethane front-end rebuild kit with 11/16" tie rods and '73-'76 big-ball-joint UCAs placed with Firm Feel. :)

hope you got the caliper mounting bolts with your calipers, they're kinda pricey at the dealership. i had to cough up over 50 bones for mine, of course they (and everybody else here) passes on the shipping charge if its not in stock, so it may not be so bad where you are.

I did. :) Asked the seller to include the caliper mounting bolts. If you look at the pic that shows the back of the caliper you can see that the bolts are still there.

Wow bro you are brave she looked pretty rough to me but with all the idea your working on I think your car is going to be badass.

So I finally got the rear out and removed from under the car.

Anyone care to guess what rear this is?

Now I need to make a set of dollies for the rear of the car.

7 1/4 with bell style drums. I'm sure someone can use parts from it or the whole thing.

Thanks again, Sedanman. :) I suppose I should clean the grunge off the thing and put it up for sale...

Got the rear shocks out last night...Didn't do much else. :(

I see that was a vinyl top car. That trim is hard to find, ask VitaminC

AR Engineering AR011 Viper on 11.75" rotor kit is here. Not much else done since the rear came out.

I have most of the stuff to rebuild the front suspension now. Need to get on the K-member reinforcement, LCA welding and painting stuff...

If you decide your not going to use that black fender you got from me let me know.I have 2 right fenders & no DS 1 for a spare
