1969 Barracuda 'Options'

I thought the Formula S was an early model year and the 'Cuda came out later in the year and the Formula S was dropped

The new " 'cuda package" was available from the start of '69 built cars with 340 or 383. Formula-S was not dropped as an option. Formula-S cars tend to have more options as 'cuda package was kinda like buying a Road Runner instead of a GTX, or a Super Bee instead of a Coronet R/T.

The 440 'cuda package was not available until mid-year. The first batch of cars have a Scheduled Production Date(SPD) of C01(Dec 1)

Another thing not mentioned here is the 340 and 383 'cuda package cars came with the lowest option bench seat WITHOUT the fold down armrest! Rarely seen today! Even the cheapest built plan jane Barracuda came with the bench seat WITH armrest!
440 'cudas on the other hand ONLY came as bucket seats with console shifted automatic trans.
