Show That Lowered A-body!

Are you wanting to run a taller tire?

No. I guess I didn't explain why the fuss over backspace. It's just to get the car as low as I can without buying aftermarket front suspension. There's a small window for centering the tire between the inner and outer structures.

mopardude318 on the front of my 68 cuda, I have 17x8 with 5.72 backspace with a 3/8" spacer, with a factory 73-up disc brake kit.

on that '70 dart^^ I have 17x8 with 5.75" backspace with NO spacer but it has an RMS AlterKation front end with wilwood disc brakes...both cars have a 245/45/17 front tire.

5.72 less 3/8 gives you a backspace of 5.3. That puts you right in the parameters I'm looking at. I'll be running 74 front suspension and brakes. Was it the ball joint or tie rod end that required your spacer?

Thanks for the input.
