"Damn that was a pain!" thread

Have to say it was pulling the trans out of my old Ford Ranger 4x4 with a 302/c4 in it. Had to pull the exhaust out of the truck because the pipes were under the one side of the pan. Pipes were welded, and I did not want to cut them. So it meant having to drop the rear axle to get the pipes out. In order to get to the bell housing bolts I had to tilt the motor, which meant the radiator needed to come out as well as the heater box........which could not be removed unless you pulled the right side valve cover at the same time. Keep in mind that the truck seen A LOT of mud, so this whole precess was a nightmare thanks to all the mud, grit and rocks that no matter what you did you never got them washed off.....
