New Craftsman Tools

I just purchased a new Craftsman hose clamp (corbin) pliers. When I went to use them yesterday I couldn't believe the poor quality. First the clip that holds on the gripping head falls off allowing the "gripper" to fall completely out of the tool. So, I fix that with a stronger e-clip.

Then when I go to use the pliers on the hose clamps the pliers metal arms bend. The arms got all distorted trying to open a radiator clamp. I literally had to keep bending them back into position to use it for removing four clamps. What a piece of garbage! I spent as much time fixing the junky tool as it took do remove the hoses.

It's going back to Sears tomorrow. So much for Craftsman quality. Sadly, I guess that's an oxymoron nowadays... [-(
