Are you going to flare or bulge out the rear quarters since you are putting new quarter on it anyway?

Are you looking to drop it with air bags or are you going to build it to get the maximum handling performance out of it?

I think they even sell a wide-body/bulged quarter for 67-69 Camaro new.

i'm in! this looks like it going to be a fun ride! Good luck

I'm looking forward to seeing more of this.

For the record, these are no longer mutually exclusive. You can have your cake and eat it too if you so choose. The crew at RideTech has proven this over, and over, and over again. With their new line of shocks, maximum handling performance is easily had with air bags so you do have the option of best of both worlds.

subbed! Can't wait to see how it turns out. This is the treatment my 69 notchback will get one day.

No plans for air ride. Just double adjustable coil overs. No plans for fender flares at the moment either. As far as paint color I haven't picked out anything specific. Thinking possibly a wicked green like the Dodge Viper snakeskin color. Threw in some more pics of the subframe connectors I made and the mini tub progress.

I'd like to possibly enter some open road challenges with the car. There are no SCCA events around MN that I am aware of. Car will have a 1 3/4 custom cage in it built by me. Working on the custom 4 link mounts and fitting the quarters along with new trunk extensions. I'll move on to the getting the front fenders dialed in soon along with getting the rearend mocked up in it. Also got some parts today from Summit Racing.

Just a little bit of Google'ing....

There are SCCA Solo II autocross events in MN. They are quite active. It's called the Land o’ Lakes Region: http://www.scca-lol.org/ For SCCA Solo II rules your car will probably be in C-Prepared class. But it seems like you are more interested in road course track days, so what class you fall in might not be of any worry to you. Good place to just go out and shake down the car.

There are open track days at Brainerd Raceway: http://www.brainerdraceway.com/ Try to go with a club that run street cars there and just go check things out: http://www.brainerdraceway.com/road-racing/clubs.html

Also, you shouldn't be too far from Blackhawk Farms or Road America Raceways?

Here's the 2012 Minnesota Solo II Schedule:

Alright got some updates. The quarters are close to fit along with the trunk extensions. I've been focused on getting my exhaust exiting threw the quarters. The exhaust tips will probably follow the card board templates shape.

Are you going to run custom headers to get the tubes moved up for more ground clearance?

Off the shelf stuff isn't very good for maximum ground clearance. Of course the front floorboard will have to be modified, but that's par the course to what you are doing allready.

Well i got some Hooker headers laying around I was going to look at first and consider modifying. If I have to build custom headers, no big deal. There kind of fun to build anyhow.

But yes I am tucking the exhaust up into the car quite a bit. The floors will be modified along with the tranny cross member.

Well thought out.

Since your fabricating most of the car, getting everything tucked up would make it much more enjoyable to drive. I see of of slammed fabbed cars that have to run air bag to get the look, but have to pump them up to drive and lose the look.

I'd be impressed to see a car that was truely dead even all underneath with the edge of the stock rocker sills with the pinch weld taken off flush.

Well I've always hated the ugly pinch weld too. Problem is it hangs 1 7/8" under the stock frame rails. With out a complete custom chassis and floors that makes it pretty difficult to do. Maybe the next car I build. I got the exhaust tips designed and now have to get the exhaust up to them. Sorry for the bad pics. Took on an IPhone.
