Idaho, it was the outer tie rod end that required the spacer...without it, there would be interference issues.

Thanks. I just temporarily installed my K member and suspension to do some test fitting. I have a 245/45/18 on what I think is an 8.5" wheel with 6" backspace to test. It clears the tie rod and ball joint by a mile. It's definitely too wide. With 1/4" spacer it will just tuck under the fender but would not allow turning.

I need to put the sway bar on to check for interference.
