I would prefer this thread not go off track.

Yes, the second schematic should work if you don't mind cutting up your under dash harness.

You needn't drill any extra holes in your firewall, there are unused holes you could likely feed the wire through.

Let me know if you'd like a harness.

sorry to ask if it hasen't come up; but do you offer a relay kit to keep the low beams on with the highs and just the low beam illuminated on low beam?

I know it can be done and I have heard it makes the lights 2x brighter

That's not a good idea and will overheat the light fixture. I won't be offering anything like that, it's an issue waiting to happen.

The harness is installed........:D

It was very simple to do for someone like ME with minimal wiring abilities. Electrical is a bit of a challenge, but this was truly a "plug and play" upgrade.

I took a few pics that I'll post in the "Electrical & Ignition" forum some time this weekend.

Hope it's working well for you. I know the cars I've installed these on have had some other benefits, brighter marker lights/turn signals, interior panel lighting got brighter, etc. not to mention the load removed from the bulkhead. It's a great upgrade that can be easily removed if selling or the resto crowd was to buy a car.

It's great to read that it was an easy install. I tried make it as simple as possible requiring only two holes to be drilled for mounting the relays.

For those living in CANADA that have inquired. I may have found a flat rate box that the kit will fit in versus the normal medium flat rate box that cost ~33 to go anywhere in Canada. The cost on the new box, if the kit fits... ~15! I hope to heck it fits!!! Fingers crossed.
 
For you Early A guys, I can make them for those cars as well.

Member "66 Dartman" was good enough measure out wire runs for me. Thanks to Ed for the help.
 
Thanks Rob, just got my harness today. looks great. Waiting for a little more warmth in garage to install.
 
Joe good to know it got to you. I'd guess install on your car should take around 1 hour or so.

Works fantastically well and my 15 year old headlights look super bright.
Highly endorse this for anyone wanting such a simple upgrade with tremendous all around benefits.

Good to read, glad you are happy with ease of install and results.

Wire lengths just about right? Have you noticed if your running lights and dash lights appear a bit brighter?

Here are the pictures of my install...so simple a child could do it...at least my inner child.:blob:
I mounted my relays on the outside of my radiator support and ran my headlight wires alongside the originals using the existing clips. The power wires run from the alrenator mirroring the horn wiring and through the radiator support existing hole.
Very sweet install. Took about 15 minutes. Doesn't get any easier or tighter looking.
Lengths were perfect Rob. Thanks again.

I got my kit yesterday Rob. Looks great! It will be a while before I get to install it - we're having a little weather disturbance up here for the next few days. Thanks.

These are great kits Rob puts together. They aren't cheap and he uses quality relays and fuses, shrink wraps all his wiring and connectors, and supplies all the installation information you will need in a very easy to understand format along with pictures. You could make this yourself but it won't be anywhere near this quality. He took the time to ask me where and how I wanted to connect my harness and custom made it for my 66 Barracuda. My headlights are brighter than ever and the system works flawlessly. Pictures below of my mounting setup. Little different than the others but I like all my electrical easily accessible whenever possible. I have a one wire alternator that goes directly to my battery. I also run relays for my radiator fans and my air conditioning and my fuel pump.

Just got out to the garage for the first time all winter Rob. Your kit went in so easily with your instructions! I ended up putting it under the battery tray. I think it took less than an hour in total. I have a few more things to do before starting her up for the first time in 18 months. More feedback soon.
 
Just got done installing one of these kits. It was a breeze (and I'm NO electrical guru)!!! I mounted the relays and fuses under the battery tray. You can't even see them.

Thanks a lot Rob for such a well thought out and well built product.
