Ok I know its opening a can of worms but, What do you folks think this little car is worth?

Lets assume, because I have not been able to confirm..

1st, it is a stock 440/727. I know it has steel crank so its earlier model.

2nd, it is in running order. I will try to post all my pictures but it looks like most of the missing grill pieces are in a box and are not in "bad" shape.

Again these are assumptions, because I can not confirm at this time.

Thanks for your reply's and Thanks for the FORUM!!

It is worth what ever you are willing to pay for it. That particular body style is not one of my favorites, so to me it aint worth much....

Its a 68 I had to resize the pictures and they are not that good to begin with.

Those do look like not factory front side markers, probably reflectors from a bicycle store. Judging by the lower dash pad it is a 68, I believe the grill assemblies are 68. Does it have a title? In my opinion, unfinished as it is and lots of unknowns - engine, trans, differential, body condition (how straight, any filler, is it structurally sound?) I would say no more than $5000.

Oh - and the cheesie boy racer mirrors have got to go ;)

just my 2 cents

I'm thinking $3995-ish, and even that might be generous. Disc brakes? What's in the rear end?.....sure-grip? Rust issues? We need more to go on.

Good eye!!! I have not seen this car in person, but I think I can buy it pretty right. I will get more info and post it when I get it.

I am assuming it has drum brakes..

Personally I like the notchback body style, and I love obnoxious big block street cars with fenderwell headers. If it were for sale close to me I would be interested if the price were right.

the grilles are 68, have any pictures of rear?

Running order = Can it be driven home, look under it and see what the TB's and frame
to belly looks like, driver with good brakes and trans and cooling works good along with the
road trip to be built at your home= Running order.. 68 Barracuda big block running and
I am wondering what the rear end is...... Hard to say but I am liking it .

"1st, it is a stock 440/727. I know it has steel crank so its earlier model."

That is a really big assumption given the bench seat and aftermarket gauges.
Or are you just referring to the engine and tranny being stock condition?

It will depend on what is hot in your area.. Down here the trunk cars are not valuable at all. That car would be hard to get $3500 for it.. If it is rust free... Now if it was a fastback then it would be $6500-$7000.

Well, I am going to pass on this car after learning more about it. Pictures are worth nothing!! This car has too much rust for my liking. I have not seen it in person but the guy that is selling it has been honest with me about the condition of the body. It still has 7.25 rear, and what sounds like a FMJ disc brake swap up front. The ignition is giving some issues, he had disconnected the after market stuff and put OLD factory style stuff to get it to crank but will die if under 1000 rpm.. It may be for someone but not for me. It just seems like a half hearted attempt of a junk yard hot rod.. The price seems VERY high to me considering the condition. $3800.00

I doubt anyone on this forum is interested but if you are pm me and I will hook you up with the owners contact info..

So I was close...Sounds like he is running the msd through the old harness... Will give you fits for ever if thee is a voltage drop at the box. I had one that would drop to 5v and acted like it was in high time every time you tried to crank it..
