You guys have been doing your homework. Yes Vice Grip brand is Irwin and the new ones are made in China. They're not bad as long as you don't try to unscrew a rusted exhaust stud or something like that. Save your old ones guys!
Welcome to my world. Not a day goes by that I don't get bashed about "once made in USA but now made in China" tools. Most major tool brands buy products made in China and all tool suppliers buy or manufacture some of their tools in China. Those companies are Snap On, Mac, Matco and Cornwell. tmm
