Vise Grip's!!
I know I'm behind on a jillion posts and topics here, but on topic of pliers, I have used and abused a pair of Knipex channel locks that out perform vise grips! Had a pair for 20 plus years and use several times a week. You will not use any other channel locks after using this tool! Somewhat pricey, but well worth it..<thought I'd share> for those that haven't tried them.
